SWIMMING SCHOOL

The purpose of the swimming school at Totenbadet is to give people of all ages an opportunity to become able to swim. Through STEP 1 and STEP 2 in our teaching, the student will go through a training from water habituation to full swimming ability. The 2 steps build on each other. It is possible to skip steps if you master the requirements. This is assessed by the instructors.

STEP 1
Requirements: The student must be able to carry a swimming board 5 m without touching it. The student must be sprayed on for 15 sec. without hands in front of face. The student should be able to jump from the edge and pick up an object from the bottom in deep water.
Duration 8 hours.
STEP 2
Requirements: The student must be able to jump and float up. Slide on the abdomen in line with crawl leg kick about 5m, turn on the back and slide on with adapted breathing.
Duration: 8 hours.
